Up the slopes of Lom (5-km walk, 2.5 hours):
The 900-metre-high Lom Hill rises steeply above the Vesna Hotel in Topolsica. The trail passes near the Mladika Hotel along the asphalt road up to the juncture with a macadam road. Turn right and enjoy a wonderful view of the entire valley of Saleska dolina. The trail leads you through the middle of Lom to the other side of the hill, where you start descending slowly by the asphalt road – past the houses and the first blocks of flats – and then take the main road back to the hotel. It is a circular trail that may also be walked the other way around. There is no need to worry, as all trails are marked with signposts. And if you do lose your way, remember that this is an inhabited area in the near vicinity of the hotel – there are no bears, only friendly people.

Lom – St. Jacob’s Church (Cerkev Sv. Jakoba) (2.5-km walk, 1 hour):
Take the main road to Sostanj, and after 100 metres the signpost will direct you to the steep road heading towards Lom Hill. When you reach the last houses (300 m), turn right. A forest trail will take you to the junction where you turn right and head down the hill. Soon you will reach the Hriberšek farm – only a stone’s throw from St. Jacob’s Church. To return, take a shortcut – down the hill and by the main road back to the Vesna Hotel.

Vesna Hotel – Lom – Lajše (7-km walk, 3.5 hours):
This is a slightly longer way from the hotel to neighbouring Lajše. First take the main road to Šoštanj (100 m), then turn left and take the road between the houses leading towards Lom Hill. After 500 metres, where the asphalt road turns sharply left, the signpost will direct you to the right – descend the rut and head towards the Globaški most bridge. Soon you will reach a narrow valley, leading you to the stream and the road coming from Sleme. Follow this road until you reach the main road from Zavodnje and you will soon see the asphalt runway of the Lajse airfield. You may as well enjoy a panoramic flight with a sport aircraft. The airfield is always lively. To return, take a shortcut – by the main road from Lajše to Topolšica.

Hotel – Lom – Lajše – Hotel (6-km walk, 3 hours):
A loop trail to Lajse is also available. Follow the signpost for Lom Hill and St. Jacob’s Church. Once you pass through the forest and arrive at the junction of four roads, do not turn towards St. Jacob’s Church – instead turn left and follow the trail downhill to the road leading to the Globaski most bridge. From this point on, follow the asphalt road until you arrive at Lajse. Return to the Vesna Hotel by the main road Lajse-Topolsica.

Trim track forest trail (1-km walk, 20 minutes):
Follow the path to the right of the hotel that leads to the forest. The trim track is equipped with sports equipment and display boards describing exercises. The track is designed for recreation and exercising (follow the instructions), but you can just as well take a walk.
